Proença-a-Nova is a Portuguese village belonging to the District of Castelo Branco, Central Region, sub-region of Pinhal Interior Sul and Diocese of Portalegre and Castelo Branco being county seat, with about 8 000 habitants.

The MTB Center is located in Praia Fluvial da Fróia, in a valley at the source of the river that gives it its name, with one of the best landscapes. Nearby are the typical villages of Pedreira and Oliveiras, where two artisans work live in schist and verga. Recovered mills, two small waterfalls and extensive solariums, with fluvial area for the little ones, contribute to enhance a space that besides natural conditions offers a restaurant area with open esplanade all year round.

From the panoramic landscapes to the passage of typical schist villages and natural nooks and crannies where tar does not reach, there is no lack of reasons and conditions for the practice of mountain biking. Events and tests are held regularly by local associations, and there are also touristic animation companies that offer solutions customized to each group or visitor.
