It is visited by thousands of people. For this reason, Vinhais is nicknamed by "Smokehouse capital".
Vinhais has also stood out in tourism and ecotourism where it has created several equipments and structures that make available various activities where man and nature live in perfect harmony. An example of these spaces is the Biological Park of Vinhais where the Mountain Biking Center is located. The Mountain Biological Park of Vinhais is part of the Montezinho Natural Park.
In the surroundings are the typical villages, recovered mills, nature observatories, an irrigation dam that can be used for beautiful dives. The Biological Park, besides being able to interact and observe with native breeds, offers an equestrian centre and an excellent hotel.
