The Serra da Gardunha Mountain Bike Center is composed of five routes, four difficulty levels, 250 km of signposted trails, and two connected entrance doors. To the North, located in the Convent Park next to the Fundão Camping Park which is a space for leisure, well-being, sports and adventure, there are 4 routes, from moderate to very hard difficulties and the connection to another one of easy access, which starts in Aldeia de Joanes.

On south, near Largo Egas Moniz, in Louriçal do Campo, the other routes depart, which connect this door to the top of Gardunha, located at 1227m of altitude, Srª da Orada, São Vicente da Beira, Santa Águeda dam and Soalheira village. With a wide range of combinations to be made, depending on the level of difficulty and duration of the visit, the user will always travel the Serra da Gardunha in a way adaptable to his physical abilities.

Choose one of the entry doors to the MTB Center, equipped with a service station, changing rooms, sanitary facilities and all the necessary equipment for a comfortable use, regardless of your chosen entry. These equipments accept coins.

Mountain bike tracks - Inside the Convento Park there are two mountain bike tracks, one for children and one for adults with only one direction.

Bike Point - From Bike Point you can access all the routes and their information from the bike circuit, download them to your GPS from Trail Point, wash your bike with pressure and biodegradable detergent and inflate the tires. You also have access to a 12V gadget socket, a drinking water source and a Bluetooth device where you can connect the music from your mobile phone.

  • From Lisbon: Follow the A1 North, then exit Abrantes/C.lo Branco/Torres Novas, on the A23. Continue along the A23. Follow exit 28 towards N18/Fundão Sul/N346/Penamacor. Go to N18/Fundão.

    From Porto: Converge with A1 through the ramp on the left to Lisbon/Ponte da Arrábida/Gaia. Take exit 16 to converge with A25 towards Viseu. Take exit 30 to converge with A23/IP2 towards Guarda Sul/Covilhã/Portalegre. Then take exit 28 towards N18/Fundão Sul/N346/Penamacor . Follow to N18 Fundão.

p1 Green

An accessible route that runs through the agricultural fields of the plains of Cova da Beira, overlooking the Serra da Gardunha.

Distance: 13,6 km

Time: 1h to 1h30

Climbing: 165 m 

p2 Blue

This route is mostly along with easy walking paths.

Distance: 29,7 km

Time: 2h to 3h

Climbing: 387 m

p3 Red

It is a circular trail that starts and ends at Serra da Gardunha Mountain Bike Centre, passing at Alcaria, Lavacolhos, Enxabarda and Souto da Casa, among other places.

Distance: 48,1 km

Time: 3h30 to 5h30

Climbing: 1280 m

p4 Red

Start and end at the Mountain Biking Centre of Gardunha, passing in Fundão, Alcongosta, Donas, Alcaide and at the guard house, returning to the point of origin.

Distance: 29,7 km

Time: 3h00 to 5h00

Climbing: 920 m

p5 Black

This route has 59.1 km and 1747 m of positive accumulated unevenness, this very difficult route takes us through grand part of the Serra da Gardunha, on its northern and southern slopes.
